Social Studies at the Yeshiva integrates history, geography, current events and map skills. Varied resources promote oral and written proficiency, civic values, creative expression and research skills while enabling the children to sense their important role in a complex world. The exciting competition of the National Geographic's Geography Bee complements many social studies trips, performances, and projects throughout the year.

While observing, classifying, and measuring, YNJ's students develop scientific process skills. Throughout the grades, students conduct experiments in the classrooms and science lab as they collect data, graph measurements, make inferences and predictions, and draw conclusions. The YNJ Science Fair is a popular highlight of the academic year.
